Rhodos, the sunshine island! With 300 sunny days per year, the thermic wind „Meltemi“ is blowing constantly specially during the summer months, almost without a break. It makes the island a real Mekka for windsurfing and kite-surfing. As a perfect spot for wind- and kit surfers the island offers plenty options beside the picturesque scenery. If sightseeing, shopping in the old towns or enjoying the nightly music scene with it’s numerous live clubs, which are situated in old masonry buildings – the island offers something for everybody! Linos “the white town” is one of the oldest towns on the island, a great place to relax in one of the local cafes and the best place to watch romantic sunsets.

The new 3W Center is located on the west coast of Ixia – Ialissos. Only 3km away from Rhodos town or from Trianda and just 6km from the airport!
In the sizeable bay of Ixia, directly on the sand and pebble beach, is our center positioned between Hotel Mare Blue Cosmopolitan and Capsis. Latest equipment from Fanatic and North Sails (50 boards / 70 sails) can be rented out. A small but nice range of equipment to perfectly match all your needs! As service we offer on top free of charge: changing rooms, lockers, toilets, W-Lan and fresh water showers!
For your personal equipment we have video surveillance and a burglar alarm! During the opening times a life boat is on stand by available.
The thermic wind Meltemi is blowing constantly onshore during the summer months from side to side onshore (west / west-south-west).
The morning hours up to early lunch time offer best conditions for beginners! By ideal wind conditions of 2-4 Bft, daily beginner and advanced courses are being offered! Ideal for advanced surfers to perfect their skills. This means „into the water” for those, which are unfamiliar with waves and shore breaks!!! Roughly from 12:00 onwards, rising temperatures awake the Meltemi wind which reaches around 14:00 it’s full strength of up
to 5-7 Bft. That’s the call for long sleepers “stand up – the wave is calling”!!!
Small take-off platforms close to the beach makes it a real paradies for all Freestyle freaks. It’s quite common to have waves of up to 2m high
around 300m from the beach. Constant wind conditions promise high speeds until the evening hours! Within the main wind months June – August, each Surfer gets what he is looking for. And the international trained Staff (VDWS) stands on side for you.
