The island of Lefkada is located north east of the Peloponnes in the Ionian Sea. Already on the way from the airport down to Vassiliki you will get your first impression of the island. Due to it´s profuse vegetation, green fields and rich olive groves Lefkada is also described as the Toscana of Greece. Even in the warm and dry summer months Lefkada is reflected in it´s most beautiful country side and just invites you to take long hiking trips or mountain-bike tours.

Besides rental of material the fully equipped and high-graded surf-center of Peter Pavlic offers tuition (VDWS guideline) which also includes catamaran sailing. The center is located on the right hand side of the Surfhotel property, directly on the beach with a wooden footbridge to the waterline. Surfboots are not necessary.
Equipment: approx. 60 boards (Fanatic 2010/2011) and 90 rigs (North Sails 2010/2011). Special light and easy to handle material for children.

A 40hp Zodiac lifeboat for supervision and rescue service, a repair workshop, changing rooms and fresh water facilities free of charge.

The bay of Vassiliki is approximately 900m wide and surrounded by 2 mountains which are responsible for the thermal wind.
The morning light winds from the south offer perfect conditions for beginners as well as for catamaran sailors. (max. 2 – 3 Bft.)
A huge shallow sandy standing area of about 100m and a completely flat sea make first steps very easy.
After heating up, the hills are responsible for thermal winds in the afternoon, sideshore from the right with about 4,5 - 7 Bft.
This wind is perfect for advanced surfers as well as speed freaks and freestylers, mostly until after sunset.
